Known for his unique approach to encapsulating artifacts, Harrison addresses the lasting effects of racism and colonialism by preserving objects such as African sculptures, masks, and bones in materials such as acrylic resin and Plexiglas. As the centerpieces of his work, these artifacts serve as a link to African American heritage and as objects of ethnological study.
